The First Global Reunion

In 2001 1 attended my first Nort Point reunion. Because my flight was delayed, I arrived after the Welcome Dinner had started. After saying hello to everyone, I found myself sitting with Amrit Kuruvilla. Amrit went to school in Loyola Jamshedpur and college at NP. He was 2 years senior to me. In the one year we wer together I don’t think we exchanged more than 10 words. He was English Honours I was Chemistry. He was not active In sports or the college play etc. Yet we sat and spoke to each other for two solid hours.

That was when I realised that, when we get together, it doesn’t matter what our backgrounds are, what we do, what we did. It seems our greatest achievement is that we went to North Point.

 I once tried attending an All India Reunion. I left after 30 minutes. Not enough in common with them. It’s different when we get together North Pointers. Doesn’t matter who you are, where you are from or what age group, we are North Pointers.
