REMEMBRANCES
Mr. Gulab was a cherished member of the North Point family—an alumnus from the Class of 1947, and the oldest NP alumnus in our group. I had the honour of meeting him on two occasions during our alumni reunions, and those brief encounters left a lasting impression. His deep affection for North Point was unmistakable. With unwavering reverence, he would always rise when the school chorus was sung—a gesture that spoke volumes of his pride, loyalty, and undying connection to his alma mater.
Mr. Gulab was a gentle and loving man, a beacon of wisdom and kindness. He leaves behind not just a loving family, but also a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
May the Good God, in His infinite mercy, grant him eternal rest, and may his family find strength and consolation in this time of grief.

Renuka Gulab (Daughter),
Dad is special. He suffered greatly, yet touched many hearts on this difficult journey. We are grateful that he is in the light.
My sister Kushal sang the North Point song to him yesterday, it made him happy to hear.
Rupa (Daughter),
Our father, Vashu Gulab, had a heart softer than cotton wool. Even when he was critically ill and in the ICU, he would be more concerned about the health and well-being of his care-givers than his own. All the nurses, even the male ones, were so charmed by him they would tell us we had the cutest, sweetest father ever, and they would compete with each other to make him smile. He spent his last month in acute pain, but he smiled through it all. If there’s one lesson we learnt from him, it’s resilience. Rest in peace, Daddy. We miss you badly, but are relieved that you’re not in pain anymore.
