Life is a journey
When we left “the Home on the Hill” after the completion of our study, we were equipped with some academic knowledge and literacy. And we carried within us the Motto “Sursum Corda”, the life experience of a communal living in the midst of diversity of all sorts but with the sense of togetherness mutual acceptance and respect. We were conscious that we were all North Pointers. We were one. We were also deeply aware that the nurturing at North Point was about avoid doing bad things and try to do good to the best of one’s ability. We somehow had the sense of self-confidence to meet the challenges of the world without prior prejudice and miss perception and preconceived notion of things to come.
We all had to work for our living and when we started to work be finally reached the age of retirement but in life there is no retirement as life-journey continues.
Life journey thus has many faces, it has its ups and downs. Life is unstable, uncertain. Satisfaction alternates with these satisfactions. Nothing is permanent but we, North Pointers were able to go through the various challenges of life because of our characters that were build-up in the Home on the Hill. We were well prepared to take on the life journey and also to be of service to the others on the way
