Medical camp at Guru Sakya Monastery ( Sakya Gumpa) Ghoom on the 22nd of June 2025
The Darjeeling North Point School Alumni Association (DNPSAA) successfully organized the Fr. Van Memorial Clinic on Wheels Medical camp at Guru Sakya Monastery ( Sakya Gumpa) Ghoom on the 22nd of June 2025.
The medical camp was organized in collaboration with the Guru Sakya Ghumba, Ghoom to commemorate the upcoming 90th Birthday of His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama and in honour of his lifelong compassion and service to humanity.
More than 415 locals from Ghoom and surrounding areas like Jore Bunglow, Allobari, Batasay, Dali, Sukhia Road, Rungbull, Sonada benefitted from the camp with free medical checkup and medicines. The doctors at the camp were Dr. Bikash Dewan, Dr Sagnik Bhattacharya, Dr. Jamyang Gyatsho, Dr. D T Bhutia, Dr. Akashdeep, Dr. Deeke Yolmo, Dr. Tsheten Sherpa, Dr. Tshering Sherpa, Dr. M Yolmo, Dr. T T Bhutia, Dr. Choden Norbu., Dr. Sumiran Rai and Dr. R N Bhutia
