The 1st Alumni Swimming Competition 2025 was held on 23rd August at the picturesque campus of St. Joseph’s School, North Point, Darjeeling. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the Darjeeling Chapter, Siliguri Chapter, and the School’s staff and boys, bringing together generations of North Pointers in a spirited display of sportsmanship and camaraderie. It was due to Fr. Stanley Varghese SJ (Rector) who saw and has always seen the importance of making such event into practice for bringing every North Pointer together as one to live up to our school anthem as has been rightly said “Here’s a hand to a faltering brother and to stand, boys, like men to each other”. Father’s initiative and effort has made this day yet another NP history that will live on forever and more years to come.

The competition was marked by close contests, vibrant cheers, and a strong sense of unity among all participants. After a thrilling series of events, the Darjeeling Chapter emerged victorious, securing the 1st position with 41 points. The School & Staff team put up a commendable performance, clinching the 2nd position with 36 points, while the Siliguri Chapter followed closely in 3rd place with 34 points.

This memorable event not only highlighted the athletic talents of the participants but also strengthened the bond among alumni and the school community. The success of the inaugural edition sets a promising precedent for future alumni sporting events at North Point.
