Commitment to Our Alma Mater

Alumni Contribution: Mr. Kamal Meattle (Batch of 1961–1964)

We are proud to acknowledge the generous contribution of INR 4,00,000 by Mr. Kamal Meattle, a distinguished alumnus of St. Joseph’s College, North Point. Mr. Meattle joined North Point College in 1961 under the mentorship of Fr. Burms and completed his BSc degree over three formative years.

His donation is directed towards the Textile Crafts section of the Maurice Banerjei Innovation Design Center (IDC)—a pioneering initiative that nurtures design thinking and hands-on creativity in students.

Mr. Meattle’s enduring connection with the institution is evident not only through his contribution but also through the honour he received in March 2007, when he was conferred with the St. Joseph’s College, University Department Alumnus ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for his exceptional achievements and commitment to the school’s values.

We are deeply grateful for his support and belief in the school’s forward-looking vision, and his contribution will go a long way in inspiring young learners to innovate and preserve traditional crafts through modern education.
