ROBERT WILLIAM MOSS (Bob Moss) (1945 Batch)

 

Born and brought up in Calcutta, India from March 1931 to 1932.

Was at St Joseph School North Point, Darjeeling, India from 1941 to 1945. Moved to England in the year 1946.

Appointed as an apprenticeship with Dorman Long and Company Limited, Nine Elms, London. Obtained Structural Engineering Degree in England from 1948 to 1953.

Served in the British Army, R.E.M.E Airborne from 1953 to 1956. Was in charge of an office designing Heavy Load Dropping. In 1954, got qualified as a British Army Physical Training Instructor. Moved to Canada 1956. Started his own Engineering office from 1960 to 1990.

Hobbies:

Woodworking.

Ran many Marathon’s including “The 1978 International Marathon. From Marathon to Athens.”

Sailing: Local racing. Teaching Navigation. Sailed the Atlantic Ocean SIX times. First in 1976. Member of the “Ocean Cursing Club of the World” (To qualify you have to sail 1000 Nm nonstop.) Â
